This is the first book in the Career Soldier Military series. I loved it. It's a easy read and well written. I fell in love with Sam and Max. It also introduces you to more of the men stationed at Fort Lee as part of the 94th ID. I can't wait to read about them next!

Samantha's car breaks down. Even though she's familiar with working on cars, she can't fix it on the spot. A handsome Army officer, Max, approaches her and offers to help her get it fixed. And that's not all either of them wants to get fixed.
Through the use of Tawdra Kandle's clever pen/computer we become familiar with a growing love story without the trauma of glitches and fear that commonly cause one or another of the lovers in a romance to run away.
I love that Samantha is a tough young lady, an independent thinker, willing to protest mistreatment of others, but smart enough to realize when protests are no longer appropriate.
Max is the ultimate perfect Army officer, intelligent, hard-working, honest, ethical and deliciously handsome male.
One important character has a traumatic brain injury and concussion following a fight. Prior to the injury, he was unstable mentally. It takes patience and research to discover his background and make sure it isn't allowed to ruin other's lives. It's a very well written description of a not so pleasant person.
A couple of my favorite lines were, "What was even higher than yowza on the wow chart?" And "...Tried not to stare at his tapered fingers and picture them plunging into ...'
Ok. Use your imagination!
There are basket-loads of more enticing and entertaining lines that you really need to experience yourself.

Max and Samantha were a great love story. There was a possible conflict of interest with her being a activist so you wouldn't expect the to match up with an officer.
Who doesn't love a hot soldier! Max is calm, thinking everything Through, total soldier. Sam is always for the underdog. Match made in heaven. This one made me sigh. Goood read.
This was a good book it has a lot of passion in it. Some very hot sex, but it also show how opposite can't attract each other.
If this book doesn't leave you dreaming about a man in uniform, well you need some help. Even though things are hot between these two there's still plenty of smirks and giggles.
Such a great quick read! I love stories like this. The way the author writes makes you see both sides of the story plus gives you nice warm feeling. Perfect and I cant wait for more!
